Will GTA 6 Have Cheat Codes? Here Is What the Series History Tells Us
Rockstar has not published an official list yet, but every mainline GTA has shipped with single-player cheats. Here is why GTA 6 almost certainly will too.

It is the question every returning player asks first: can you still punch in a code and rain down chaos on Vice City? Rockstar has not confirmed an official cheat list for GTA 6 yet, but the history of the series points strongly toward yes.
Cheats are a GTA tradition
Every mainline Grand Theft Auto has shipped with single-player cheats, from the typed codes of San Andreas to the button combinations and cheat phone of GTA 5. They are part of the identity of the series: a sandbox you are meant to break.
What we expect, and what is confirmed
Nothing about GTA 6 cheats is officially confirmed yet. What we can say with confidence is based on how Rockstar has handled the last several games:
- Cheats will almost certainly be single-player only. They have never worked in GTA Online, and there is no reason that changes.
- Expect them to cover the classics: health and armor, weapons, wanted-level changes, weather, movement boosts and vehicle spawns.
- Because there is no PC version at launch, do not expect console-command style cheats on day one. Those typically arrive with the later PC release.
When will the real codes drop?
Cheat codes usually surface at or shortly after release. Our Cheat Codes hub is already built and on standby, and we will fill in every confirmed code the moment Rockstar reveals them. Bookmark it and check back at launch on November 19, 2026.
